What Guests Are Saying
Steel Bridge Campground remains a beloved destination for campers, offering excellent privacy with well-spaced sites and great fishing access. The secluded location near Paint Bank provides a perfect escape from technology, though the lack of phone service may be a drawback for some. While there have been concerns about gate codes and occasional overgrowth, many visitors appreciate the campground's cleanliness and serene atmosphere, making it a desirable return spot.

The site was very good and clean. Unfortunately I was by myself and there was some animals probably bears that were very close by and me being alone that freaked me out. Wouldn’t recommend being there by yourself. 😂

Great spot with plenty of room but it’s a shame that the local outfitter books the entire campground most every weekend just in case but never actually uses it. It’s bs honestly but what can you do

We stayed at the White site and we really liked it. Just three sites in this CG and it's perfect. Nice spacing between sites (500') gives nice privacy. Great fishing access and the village of Paint Bank is just minuetes away. I love how you need a gate code to get in. It's like dispersed camping with security for your belongings. We are putting this site on our list of great sites to return to. The White site is the smallest but perfect for one small camper and one or two tents. There is no trash service at this CG so be prepared to pack it all out. Enjoy.

Despite the changes over the years Steel Bridge is still our favorite place to camp. The lack of phone service is an issue to some. Paint Bank is only a few miles away and we had service there. The nearest store is also there and stocks most things a camper might need along with extras.
