This was our first experience at Longwood park at Kerr lake. The hosts we friendly and helpful, point out local places to visit, shop and eat. The campground was quiet and well taken care of. Bathhouses and showers were cleaned everyday. The only drawback were the dogs that were not picked up after by inconsiderate campers.
We take our dog with us camping and she is always on a leash we also carry plastic bags for her leavings, As we walked our dog or walked to the bathhouse we would frequently find dog leavings along the road. In addition when we went to cook dinner the second night we found under the cook table a large dog's leavings.
We appreciate the fact that most campers are responsible for their dogs but it only takes a few to spoil it for the many. We feel that there should be some kind of notice to campers (both in writing and vocal) when they are welcomed to the park.

Stayed here for a week to try out our boondocking setup. Spacious sites, most have water views and/or water access. This is a great boating, kayaking and fishing lake. We loved our site and spots on the water side of the middle loop are great with clear lake views. If you like peace and quiet, check it out.

This is a very low key campground - only visible staff/hosts is the person manning the gate. They do not sell firewood. The swimming area is very basic. Campsites are very nice.

We love this campground. Sites are generally clean. This time there was some trash and butts on the site when we arrived. I got eaten up by bugs. Some form of pest control would be helpful.

Yapping little dogs Washed out path to lake. Rude cleaners in bathrooms. No privacy between spots.

We were at site 46. Very shaded with good access to water. It was across from the septic field and there was a pretty strong smell at times. Other than that it was a very well kept campground. Will go back but at a different loop.

The gate wasn't locked. People came in beside us at 11:30 with kids crying and set up there site. A lot of traffic at night, bathrooms filthy, campers leaving and throwing trash on ground that was blowing onto our site and all over. We love camping at Longwood or is our favorite out of all of the others but if the the conditions don't change there we will find somewhere else to camp where there is peace and quiet. Went to the swimming area with the grandbabies and there was music being played that I didn't want to hear. It was loud and obnoxious. They left trash all on the beach at the picnic area, very disgusting. The breaker kept tripping on our site, we told the people at the hate and they said there's does the same thing. My response was it has never happened before. Very, very disappointed in the way it is being kept this year.
