Lake opportunities are abundant. This is a popular location for boating, fishing and there are numerous swim beaches. There are towns fairly close by. South Hill has major stores for shopping and a variety of restaurants. Clarksville has basic stores and a wonderful small town feel to it.

Beautiful Campgrounds, but they don’t do much for cutting away dead trees, and almost every campsite has trees that could fall and damage RV’s, Campers, and vehicles. I’ve seen someone’s RV get branches through the roof multiple times. The campsites on the Carolina side and Econeeche cut their trees down to keep campsites clear of possible damage. Also, Kimball point cuts down their old trees and gives the fire wood away to campers for campfires.
All the workers and park rangers are awesome and very helpful if you need something.

We only stayed one night at Northbend park on our summer journey but we found the park to be very nice. All sites were shady and maintained and the grounds were clean. We will definitely be back to spend more time there.

North Bend has long been my favorite vacation spot since I was about 6 years old. I was raised vacationing there, My kids were raised vacationing there and now my grandchildren are experiencing our favorite family get a way. Camping is not for everybody, but it is our favorite.

We love coming to Northbend and have been doing so for years, both as tent campers and now with our travel trailer for the past four years. Our sites have always been clean and everyone at the park has always been friendly and courteous, although this last trip I must say that there was a couple working the check in booth upon our arrival that I haven't seen before. I didn't interact with the gentlemen but the lady had the personality of a tic, certainly not as friendly as the many others we've encountered during our other stays there. Otherwise, the park was immaculate and we're scheduled for a few more visits this year and are looking forward to it.
