My first time camping in over 30 years was here on 10/10 to 10/12 2022.
And it was a truly fantastic experience!
Clean bathrooms in every section, all with two toilets & two sinks with hot water.
A camp store with about 99% of everything you could ever need or forget while camping.
Friendly hosts, friendly Park Rangers, great fellow nature lovers abound!

First, I would like to say I typically enjoy Loft Mountain. However, this particular "camp site" G193 needs to be removed as a place to camp. First, the site was tiny, and the only grass area was right on the road that cars drive by - not the biggest deal as the camp site tends to be quiet.
However.... the site is right on the fence of a Keep out facility, which I believe is the water tanks. There is right up aganst the fence a building which has a fan that blows every 5ish minutes. Next, and worst, at 3AM, a 'phone' rang in the building that was automatically answered after four or so rings, and went through an automated response that repeated over and over. This happend several times. Then you finally got to go back to sleep. Roughly an hour or less later, the same phone calls and responses repeated. Please retire this from being a camp site.

First time at Loft Mountain Campground. (Camped at Big Meadows YEAR ago). While my camping spot appeared open to the camp road it actually felt quite private once I unpacked. I found it to be VERY quiet in the morning which was an unexpected surprise. I slept in! The bathrooms were always clean and well-supplied. Our neighbors were quiet and everyone followed the camping rules. I saw the camping hosts drive by a few times during my stay. All-in-all a wonderful 3 day weekend. I'll be back.

The campsite 005 was excellent. There was plenty of room, the bear bin was spacious, and the area was clear of any trash or debris that would have deterred from the beautiful scenery. The entire Loft Mtn. Site was beautiful. Quiet, spacious, and excellent facilities. Especially the Camp Store, the service staff were extremely friendly and helpful. That is one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campground!

Campground well-maintained. Do your part to leave no trace of being there. Black Rock, Jones-Run, & Doyles River Falls nice hiking trails in the area. Secure your food at all times. If the bears find it, it's not yours anymore. Belongs to the bears.
