We spent four nights at Wilderness Road Campground. The campground is beautiful with lots of trails. It is a short drive into Cumberland Gap, which was a sweet town with welcoming people.
Things to note:
-Very nice and clean showers and bathrooms. Multiple options near campsites.
-For tent campers be aware that many of the tent sites are small and not flat. A small tent is recommended for most sites, but we were able to use our large tent by switching sites with my brother and sister in law who had a pop up and leveling blocks. Some of the sites were spacious and others tiny.
-One side has considerable road noise, but the rest of the campsite was quiet.
-There is wood for sale at the campsite, but we never found anyone who worked there and bought wood from down the road.
-We only saw a campground host once during our stay, he drove by on a golf cart. However, on Saturday there did seem to be someone manning check-ins.
- Many trails and tourist spots within an easy drive.
-clean and well kept.
We enjoyed our stay.

The campground was just what I hoped. A sense of ruralness, small with only 12 sites for tents. Clean, fresh water and a bathroom.

The staff was great and the bathrooms were clean. The biggest problem is that most of the sites are not level. Some of them were laughable such that even a tent wouldn't be level.

Amazing sites with lots of trees and shade. Be aware of poison ivy as there is quite a bit. Bath house was very clean. Highly recommend the cave tour. Lots to see and close to other points of interest. Would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived no one was getting water so pull right up and filled up, got to our campsite everything was great. When we used the rest room it was clean and nice temperature, no problems what so ever, everything was great quiet. just like we love it there. It did rain a lot but only mother nature and adjust that. We will be back, we love it there.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The camp host and the groundskeeper were friendly and kept a really clean bathroom and bathhouse. The showers were spacious and had plenty of hot water, which was wonderful. Everyone was respectful of the noise curfew and the site was perfectly sized. We’ll definitely be back!
