The site was great - easy access. It was quiet. It was fairly easy to get to the campground. It was fun that we went from Virginia, to Tennessee, to Kentucky in a matter of the five minutes it took to get from the campground to the visitor center. The rangers at the visitor center were very helpful in guiding us to plan what to do in our two days there.

Excellent campground, restrooms, and showers are always kept clean. I have been coming here since I was a boy scout back in the early 70s, and have been coming here as an adult for the past 40 years.never grow tired of it,this last stay was as good as the first!!

This was a great, small campground. We enjoyed riding our bikes and hiking around. The campground is very close to town and it is worth the trip to go check it out.
The only thing that would make this place a 5-star would be water hookup. Having electric is awesome.
The ranger and park hosts were wonderfully helpful.
Be careful if you decide to use the trail to the Daniel Boone parking lot. It is easy for walking, but a bit hard to navigate bicycles as there are several narrow wooden bridges and some 'stairs' along the way.

We loved this campground. Sites are very big, the grounds were very clean and the restrooms/showers were also very clean. I will say that while driving around the campground that a lot of the sites do seem to be very unlevel, so plan ahead for that. We definitely plan to come back here in the future.
