Campground has easy access, is exceptionally clean and we'll laid out. The sites are gravel, very level, and hookups easily accessible. Of note is how overall quiet the campground is, with campers being very respectful of others. The bathhouses are very clean and handy. The dumping station is centrally located and well maintained. This is easily the best COE campground on Philpott Lake.

Beautiful campground with friendly camp hosts, clean restrooms and nice sites. Two beautiful swimming beaches that can be a bit crowded on weekends with campers & day use folks. Great Park rangers and we were so impressed that several of them walk the campground roads on the weekends.... Very personable and made our campground stay very special.

Great place to camp with a tent. Very shaded & large campsites with good spacing in between camp sites. More privacy. Can easily fit 2- tents. One is a tent pad & the other area by the pull through driveway. Metal pole to hang a light, fire pit with metal grate & large picnic table. The sites around the lake do not have water or electricity but a water area is conveniently located by the lake area sites. 2- Bathhouses with 3 toilets & 2 showers each. They are both handicap accessible. 2swimming areas & a playground for children. RV sites available @ the front of the campground. Wood for the fire pit is available @ the gate for a minimum fee. A convenient store L& M Mart about 10 minutes away for gas , grocery items & fishing bait. Very nice people. The park attendants were very nice & helpful for any issues that came up. Highly recommend this camp experience. Love Horseshoe Point!

We love coming to Horseshoe Point and have almost every year for the last 6+ years. This year ended up being a little bit disappointing due to filthy bathrooms, constant smell of the septic system and a not very friendly attendant on the last day. Hoping for some improvement if we decide to return.

This was our 8th visit to Horeshoe Point. We had a very rainy weekend and many campers around us left early. We stayed in spite of the weather. No one can control that, so we just made the best of it. We did have two camp sites near us that were very loud, used profanity constantly and even with approach from park rangers and site attendants, the language didn't improve. We finally have peace once those campers departed. All of that was out of our control.
One thing I would like to see improved is the lighting in the bath houses. Because of rain and clouds, the skylights let in very little lights and with the lights being on timer, we bathed and used facility in the dark.

4h time staying here. Like the campground. Folks are nice and sites are spaced well enough to not have other campers seemingly in your site. Will certainly be back!

Horseshoe Point is a beautiful campground with spectacular lakeside camping sites. In early May it was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom facilities are excellent, spacious. very clean and well-designed for a good hot shower. Friendly park attendants welcomed us as we arrived and as we departed. Sandy beach on Philpott Lake is available for swimming. If you're willing to travel to a remote location, it's well worth the drive once you arrive.
