The park is beautiful and the staff are super nice! Unfortunately the no alcohol rule isn't enforced which wasn't fun to be around with our young kids. We also saw campers damaging trees on their site. As people who believe in "leave no trace," seeing that broke our hearts. The park and lake are great! The other campers.... not so much.

I love all the campgrounds at Philpott. Always a great experience. Good bathrooms and showers, volunteers and rangers are very friendly. The only negative I've had is when some camper uses a generator
in the morning at a non-electric site... very noisy...I'd say generators should be banned.. they should have booked an electric hook-up campsite.

Great campground that is away from everything. We went the weekend before Memorial Day and it was quiet, almost too quiet at night. The rest rooms were cleaned daily and the firewood available was dry and bargain priced. Will be coming back in the future!

Really like this campground. Never had a problem. Stayed in Site #4 for the third time, so we must like it. Electrical and water hook-ups are on the wrong side we pulling in. Electrical cord was long enough to reach, but I needed an extra water hose. My wife and I both have Verizon cell service. I was able to make calls ,text and so so data with little problems with my Motorola phone. Now the wife's S23 was a not as good, and no data for her.
