Park attendants very helpful and nice. Security is taken very seriously there, so if you want to party, this is not the place for you.
The sites on the right as you pull in are bigger than the ones in the lower area away from the lake,
Also the pump out station is NOT made for bigger RVs so you will need a honey wagon if there for longer than your tanks can hold.

The campground is very clean and accommodating, the only issue that we
Had was kids riding bikes around and around the loop with training wheels dragging by out pop up at 6:45 in the morning! I will try to choose a location away from the playground area next time.

We thoroughly enjoy going to Salthouse. This campground is about ten miles off the main road making it a very peaceful place to camp. There are three loops for camping, the middle loop is on a small incline that is suited more for bigger campers. The lower loop is closer to the lake and is designed for mid sized campers. We have always campers in the lower loop. The sites in this loop are very close together but we have never had any problems with any of the other campers. The people that camp here are very respectful and friendly. The upper loop is designed for tent campers. There is no power or water for the individual sites on the upper loop. This campground has two boat launch locations, a two swimming areas and two playgrounds for the kids. There are two trials, one at the boat launch at the lower loop and another at the playground near the upper loop.

Great campground and location. The campgrounds are nicely laid out. Everything was well kept and clean. It was nice to have a mix of people there with boats for fishing/pleasure and others just hanging out. Staff was friendly. The local areas around the lake were fun to explore. Overall like many of the Federal sites, much better than the corresponding state parks.
