Great campground and location. The campgrounds are nicely laid out. Everything was well kept and clean. It was nice to have a mix of people there with boats for fishing/pleasure and others just hanging out. Staff was friendly. The local areas around the lake were fun to explore. Overall like many of the Federal sites, much better than the corresponding state parks.

Bathrooms only cleaned once a day, with floors left very wet. Very hot and humid in bathrooms, only has small exhaust fan that only ran a few hours of the day. Gate attendants very nice and welcoming, park rangers very nice and keep good security during day and evening, very professional. No security at night at all. if needed you have to call 11. They let so many cars in, campers cannot enjoy themselves. They should be more like camping at Goosepoint. The park rangers and gate attendants are great, but park needs to improve bathrooms and security at night.

We always have an excellent time at Salthouse Branch, at some point I would hope that the Park would incorporate sewage to the individual camp sites.

My family and I has camped at Salthouse Branch for 20 years during the summer. We have even invited freinds to come out and camp along with us and they have had great experiences as much as us.I would recommend camping at Salthouse Branch to anyone.
