park was very nice with lots to see and do by bike or walking/hiking. Beautiful setting and scenery. RV camping spots really varied in quality. We unfortunately reserved E181 which was extremely tight to back into with the tree positions and was quite sloped. Access roads in and out of campground had some pretty shocking potholes…. a bit of gravel in the holes would be welcome.
Should have waited until we got to the park to pick a site as there was plenty of availability for better spots. Live and learn…..

We rode in on motorcycles after a long day. Found the parking space and only had to walk into the site approximately 20 meters. The site was flat and provided plenty of space for our two two-man tents. The campground had everything we needed.

Bathrooms were very clean and easily accessible. There was even hot water! Nice wildlife (deer) roaming around. We car camped & hiked the following morning so not a lot to pack up. There’s also a lodge near by to grab a coffee and pastry if interested.

Big campsite. Lots of spaces, but lots of people too, so if you are looking for solitude, this is not the place. Coin-operated showers a little pricey at $5, but clean. Plenty of amenities. Friendly staff. At $30 a night, the campground offers very little to a backpacker over a hut as you can use the showers, visit the store, even do laundry, then hike up to the nearby shelter for the night and save yourself thirty bucks.

Love driving our 22 ft RV to hiking spots , having lunch on parkway after a long hike. Big Meadows is great ! The lodge is nice to go out. Even have Starbucks for morning coffee.
