The campground is nicely situated (in a beautiful forest environment, with many deers visiting us). It is a very convenient way to spend the night in Shenandoah NP. The restrooms were clean, but in small number given the size of the campground.

The campsite itself is very nice. It is large, flat, with views of the forest. The separation with the one next to it is not clearly defined, but it is large enough so that this is not an issue.

Location itself is perfect, love this campground near the center of the park and have been many times. This particular site was adjacent to wooded area providing some great bird and deer watching!

Just did a one nighter while hiking the entire AT through the park. The park attendant was very gracious and got us a hikers sight with no problem. Thanks to the people that left goodies in the AT hikers box. Was able to wash my hair after 6 days of hiking. We left some detergent so someone could was clothes if needed.

Big Meadows was nice. Park people were really nice and helpful. It was extremely hard to get a reservation as you could not book the entire weekend. It forced us to only stay one night and finish our weekend in Loft Mountain.
