Great stay in such a beautiful area! The drives, the views, the park staff and even staff at the Big Meadows restaurant were friendly and helpful, despite the unfortunate govt shut down! Everyone kept giving their all, and it showed! Forgot staff at gift shops too, they just kept going - great job! We were undeterred by it all and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you!!!

Little to no cell signal but thats what I was looking for. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of deer throughout the campground. A bit of an uphill walk back from the bathrooms if that's an issue for you.

All the Park Service staff at the visitors centers were super knowledgeable and helpful. They gave great hiking recommendations as well as letting us know about other programs. The star gazing party was well organized and informative. We even ran into a trail crew and they took the time to talk to us about their work. The camp site was clean and easy to use.

This was my second stay at Shenandoah National Park. So much to see and do, and the facilities and grounds are immaculate! I highly recommend the visitor's center, a short walk from Big Meadows Campground. Bring cash for the showers. Store and gas station next to the Visitor's Center is AWESOME for things you might have forgotten or treats for your stay. I LOVE THIS CAMPGROUND!
