Was a wonderful trip. The campground is huge, but well laid out. It's also close to many of the best hikes in the park.

Big Meadows campground was a fabulous place to stay even on the busy holiday weekend. We tried the Rapidan Camp hike and loved exploring the compound where the president used to stay. Highly recommend! The meadow is a great place for young children to explore and take the lead in finding new paths. Our grandkids loved poking around and letting the adults follow them for a change.

Great site. The campground is beautiful and well maintained. Staff are courteous and professional. Please be considerate of others when you camp here. Please slow down for little humans and wildlife.

Great facilities and perfect location! It's centrally located in the park, so we were able to get to many good hiking spots with ease: Dark Hollow Falls, Hawksbill, and Bearfence to name a few. Weekends do get busy and if you prefer quiet - be sure to book one of the generator free sites (a great option!)
