While, I could write many words about how wonderful my experience was here, I will spare the detail and give you what you’re looking for. This is a beautiful, off the beaten path, full hook up campsite with incredible trees and wonderful fishing. You must be well-versed in getting your Starlink a clear view of the sky and it may take some work to get it there. There is zero cell service but the office has free WiFi, firewood, snacks, beer, fishing gear and more. Rick, the camp host, and Faye from the office were particularly nice to us! This is an amazing getaway!,

I was very leery of this campground after reading some of the warnings about towing trailers there. I know the road is somewhat narrow, but off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is just not bad at all. It was so beautiful to be there during the fall and to find an RV Spot that still felt like camping and not just parking in a parking lot. It was stunningly beautiful and the people were all friendly, including the other campers. We enjoyed it immensely. We have a 27 foot bumper pull trailer and our friends have a 30 foot. We had plenty of room for it in our trucks. The lake is stunning and everything is well maintained. The country store is charming and is a place for people from all over who are just passing by. So it is well stocked and has great Wi-Fi for the people staying at the campground.

My family stayed in the Crabtree cabin. The cabin was very cozy and clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with the necessary utensils to cook and to use the grill. Each cabin has a front porch with a table and chairs, a charcoal grille, and a firepit that can be cooked on surrounded by Adirondack chairs. The camp store is just a short walk away and carries most of the necessities including firewood. There is a lake that you can kayak and fish on. There is no parking that I could find down near the lake though, so we had to drop off our kayaks at the water and then go back and park the truck at the cabin again. There is no cellphone service out there. They do have wifi located in the playground area and it doesn't reach any of the cabins, but, really, I think you can handle a few days off the grid. We enjoyed ourselves!

Lovely campground with plenty of amenities, clean facilities, and a short drive to Crabtree Falls! My dog Gunner loves this place. Highly recommend!

This place was great. Very peaceful and the cabins are very accommodating. It had everything we needed to host 10 people for the weekend. My only suggestion would be a better walkway between cabins A and B. I do know they are not always shared but up and down for the older folks was a little challenging. But we do look forward to coming back again in the future.
