Crabtree Falls Campground

Idyllic location!! The owner couldn't have been more generous to me & my husband when we were staying nearby and ran out of wood for the fire. We'll be forever grateful for his kindness!

Camp ground was nice. If your going to tent camp, getting your tent staked down is a little hard in places. Overall the facility was nice. Able to get firewood there at a very reasonable price. Also if you want to get away from it all there is no service there. The sound of the river was so beautiful. Very short distance to the Crabtree falls hike. See pictures

I've been coming here for 10 years. The current owners have owned for 6 years. This is my happy place. Bathrooms and showers are always clean, tent sites are amazing and roomy, and cabins are excellent. This trip we were in a cabin (our annual trip for the past four or five years) and it did not disappoint. We will continue to come back for both camping and tent camping as long as they're open! Bonus - camp kitties are super friendly!

AJ is very rude and not at all understanding. We attempted to reschedule at a later date and in 2025 there was NO possible way for him to figure out a full refund so we could rebook at a later time. Be sure of your schedule when booking at this campground because they will still take 50%. He did say he could and should have charged us the full amount, but he was just flat out rude when explaining. No need for him to be as condescending as he was. I guess they don't want us or our money ever.

Crabtree campground was one of the highlights of my much needed vacation. Jim and Sue greeted me with warmth and Sue has an amazing friendly energy. She set me up in T3 tent site, which had the most melodic babbling brook sound. The tent site was level, the fire pits are great, there's a good mixture of sun and shade. Trees for hammocks, and rocks for days directly beside the Tye river. I checked in on Wednesday and had the campground almost to myself. Hot shower, clean bathroom, wifi at the building, plenty of wood, wheelbarrows for hauling your items to your site. It was all one could hope for in a campground. The store has supplies you can buy but there is a convenience store approx 5 miles away called Macs I highly recommend. Nothing but good people all around.
