I would highly recommend this location! It is absolutely beautiful and somewhat separate from the rest of the recreation area. There are plenty of picnic tables, and the rental cost is very reasonable. My questions were answered in a timely manner prior to our event, and we had a wonderful time. It's handy to have bathrooms located nearby, although you may want to bring paper towels and/or hand soap in case they are needed. Remember, too, there is no electricity in this group picnic area, so plan accordingly.

We had a wonderful time at the picnic shelter. We spent the day with employees and adventured on a hike, went swimming and enjoyed the food. The shelter was very clean and had plenty of trash bins to use. We will definitely be back again next year.
Thank you!

Williams Branch picnic shelter at Sherando is a charming and comfortable location for our annual employee picnic. Plenty of room for a large group to park, hang, recreate and share a meal. It's wonderful to have the proximity of the lake and a shady private spot to return to. Looking forward to our next visit!
