Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park

This is a wonderful campground. It is super clean, well maintained and staffed by very friendly people. Our site was quite long, with ample space for our travel trailer and truck. The restrooms and showers are very clean. We highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a quick stop or to spend a few days exploring this beautiful part of Virginia.

Wanted a place to stay for 2 nights as we travelled north. Picked Walnut Hills because is was around the distance we wanted to travel from our start point. It was an excellent choice. It was easy to find and close to I-81 (but far enough that no traffic could be heard). Very nice camp ground and would stay again if we are in the area. Lots of modern upgrades and excellent staff. Close to Grand Caverns which are impressive and recommended.

Great stay! We were last here in 2021 and were excited to return this time with our grandkids. They loved fishing, playing on the playground and the Sunday morning train ride through the park. We love the area and appreciate the daily trash pickup and the management’s dedication to keeping the car speed limit safe for kids. We were so grateful to Julie for her assistance when we locked ourselves out of our camper. We hope to be back ❣️

Booked a site at Walnut Hills for memorial day weekend & we will definitely be back! It was in a good location, easy to get to. Staff was friendly & fun. We enjoyed all of the activities, especially karaoke/ line dancing! Our daughter enjoyed the arcade games & tye dye event. The little store is stocked! Bathhouse are nice. Can not say enough good things about this campground!

We stayed in a Rustic Cabin and it had everything you would need for a nice weekend. The cabins are a little more tucked away so you aren't with all the RV's which was nice. The campground is very nice and they do a good job cleaning the bathrooms. It's pretty close to Staunton and Waynesboro and is only a 20 minute drive from a lot of amazing scenery. Would love to come back.
