We stayed in site A37 with our camper van. It was a good campsite - though, if there were campers in A38, we could see their campfire. Also, the fire ring is too high, can't see the fire from our camp chairs. The site was relatively flat but rain pooled during the heavy storm we had. We were happy to be in the van. The park was nearly empty during our mid-week visit. The facilities were clean and hot water in the showers. There are some great hikes in the park and the rangers were helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for a quick overnight Sat-Sun. The spot was clean and I didn’t need to clear anything before setting up. The campground itself was maybe 1/3 full. A loop bathroom was freaking pristine and the showers looked perfect. Bizarrely nice compared to the average camp bathroom. There wasn’t firewood available for sale, but there’s plenty of downed wood you can scavenge and the ranger informed me you can bring in wood from outside the park. You are NOT allowed to park on the side of the roads leading through the Prince William Forest Park to the campground. There is LOADS of downed wood along these roads so the temptation is there, but the rangers will shoo you off.

Quiet, rustic campground way out in the woods. Nice showers but no hookups.

This park is very beautiful. The campground ( I stayed in the C loop.) was pretty much empty when I stayed so it was quiet except for the frogs and crickets at night. The bathrooms were pretty clean but not spotless. The fire ring had not been cleaned out in a while and was full of wet ashes.
It rained the second day I was there so didn’t get to enjoy the amenities (hiking/biking trails).
Be aware, I have ATT and there was NO signal on the park. Also, remember that you are very near a military base so you probably will hear artillery fire into the night when they are doing drills.
All the park people were super friendly and helpful.
