Really like camping in loop C. The sites are a little more secluded (at least those out the outside of the ring) and there's pretty easy access to the trails if you cut through the woods a bit. The bathroom between loops A and B is very nice and clean...surprisingly so.

One night stay. Very nice location. Note that to enter the campground the fee to enter the national forest is required ($20).
Spot A33 was perfect with a little more privacy (no neighbor on one side). Modern facilities.

We stayed at site B7. Visited from Oct 10-12. Everything was great except that when we booked I could not see the picture of the site very well due to the fact that the recreation.gov website displays these tiny photos of each camp site and you can barely see what it looks like. My tent is one of those you can attach to an SUV and that is what we usually do so we can use a trunk mattress we have so the kids can sleep comfortable in there since I am terrified of them getting ticks. Well, we had everything set up and went for a walk, when we came back, we had a paper saying that cars could not be parked on the grass and we had to move our tent location. I guess I overlooked this information from the reservation, my fault. We moved the tent but it was difficult to set up with the very little concrete space we had for parking the car since it had to be in a place where we could attach the tent to the trunk. While in the campground I was looking at some campsites and some of them have the concrete really far from where you can put your tent so thank goodness we did not book one of those because we would have not been able to attach the tent to the trunk of our jeep SUV. The saturday we arrived the park was packed but since the sites are not close together we did not have a problem with crowds (this was during COVID so we did not want to be close to too many people). I would have liked a sign at the bathroom entrance though requiring a face mask to enter, however there was not such thing, everyone entering the restroom was NOT wearing a mask. If you have children bring your bikes or scooters, there is a concrete path where they can ride comfortably around the campsites.

Good campground, spots are close to each other. Wish they were further apart. Bathrooms are very clean.

I love this campground. Nice cleared spaces, but still lots of woods and nature around. I do wish they would fix the dishwashing sink at b loop. It’s been out of order for a year which results in people using the bathroom sinks (even though they should know better). It is near quantified and there are drills from time to time which bothered some people in our party, but my earplugs kept me oblivious. If you need cell service you will need to get in your car and drive out of the park, it’s awful, but also a rad nice to be disconnected if you have the kind of job where that’s ok.
