What Guests Are Saying
Turkey Run Ridge Group offers an excellent camping experience with spacious, well-maintained sites, great fire rings, and convenient heated bathrooms with hot water. The friendly staff and well-kept hiking trails enhance the overall experience, making it ideal for scout troops and families. Some minor issues, like bright lights and unannounced water shut-offs, were noted, but these did not significantly detract from the enjoyment of the park.

Beautiful Park. Needs a few more signs. Difficult to find ampitheater area. Need person at front gate.

One of my favorite campsites in NoVA. Easy access to a large number of orienteering courses, and we did the 4.8 Mile Loop hike which is super convenient to the campsite.

The site was just what we needed for our BSA troop on a tent camping . There were 26 in the group and site had plenty of space for everyone.

Sites are really with clean bathrooms.
Only negative is the fire pit size. It is too small for a group site

PWFP is a Jewel. and a great place for group camping. Love the hikes and feeling of being way out in the woods, but being so close to northern VA.

Turkey Run Ridge is an excellent youth campsite. My Scout Troop like many in the Northern VA area love it, and we have camped there for years, but we are now really scaling back due to the extremely high prices. When I started going there we could rent a 25 person site for $40 per night and a 40 person site for $60. Drivers who stayed would also have to pay a $5 park entry fee. The rate is now $65 for the 25 person site and $80 for the 40 person sites. Gone also is the $5 entry fee per vehicle. Now you must pay $20 per vehicles for a seven day pass. (I am sure there are many who don't because they cut down on enforcement and only ask for proof if you are not parked in a legal spot.) As honest Scouts we pay the fee. So, for my Troop to camp there with 60 people for two nights and 8 vehicles it cost $450 ($65+$80 x 2 = $290 for the campsites and 8*$20=$160 for the vehicles). There are lots of cheaper, equally nice alternatives.
