We had a great experience with Timberline Glamping back in October 2025. My family and I stayed here for a long weekend (with two young kids), and had a double safari tent with two queen beds. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and clean, and the tent was very cozy and had space for all our stuff. The tent had a nice little refrigerator, plenty of lighting, a heater/AC unit, overhead fans, a little side table and chairs (as well as benches at the end of the beds), lots of space under the beds for storage, two porches (front and back), a coat rack and small mirror, plenty of plugs for devices, and a Keurig for coffee (the hosts provided some coffee pods and water too).
The campsite had a picnic table, two hammocks, a fire pit, and plenty of space to park a car. The tent was a short walk to the bath house (which is well-maintained by the Chickahominy Riverfront Park), and several scenic overlooks. We had several questions for the hosts, and we contacted them via phone a few days before our trip and they were very responsive, friendly, and helpful. Our tent was at the end of a row of tents, so our area was fairly quiet, and the outdoor lighting was really helpful as it got pretty dark in that part of the campground. There was plenty to do nearby (the Park has a large playground, walking paths, pavilions, access to fishing, and is easy to bike - and the Virginia Capital Bike Trail is just outside the park entrance), and when it rained one day during our trip, we were just a short drive from Jamestown and Williamsburg.
Thanks again to our hosts at Timberline Glamping in Williamsburg, and we hope to visit again!

We had the best time at Timberline Glamping! Our safari tent was fantastic - super spacious, cozy, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we walked in. The views around the site were beautiful, and everything felt peaceful and relaxing. The facilities were also spotless, which made the whole experience even better.
We’re already planning our next trip back! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, comfortable, and memorable glamping getaway for the whole family!

Perfect blend of history and comfort, our Williamsburg glamping escape felt magical. Luxurious tents, plush beds, crackling firepits, and starry skies. Morning birdsong, evening s’mores, and easy access to Colonial streets and Jamestown trails. Thoughtful hosts, spotless amenities, and cozy touches made every moment relaxing, romantic, and unforgettable for us.

I had an awesome experience camping at Timberline Williamsburg in late October. The beds in the tent had comfortable memory foam mattresses and soft sheets/duvets. The heating unit took made it considerably warmer in the tent at night. The view of the river from the front porch of my tent was so calming. Williamsburg was only a fifteen minute drive away and the VA capital trail is adjacent to the site.

Such fun! Fabulous and comfy tents. Right on the water with plenty of wildlife. We love to stay here to ride the Cap to Cap bike trail. Our favorite ride is to the end of the Cap trail then continue and ride Jamestown island. Reservation were easy and they are very professional and accommodating. Thank you!
