What Guests Are Saying

Beaver Campground offers a charming and well-maintained atmosphere with friendly hosts who provide helpful information and keep the facilities clean. Despite some concerns about small site sizes and occasional issues with toilet paper supplies, many visitors enjoyed the beautiful river access and peaceful surroundings. The campground's secluded nature and proximity to outdoor activities make it a favorable choice for campers seeking a quiet retreat.

greatest campground going downhill quick. Just came home from a 5 day stay at Beaver campground. This used to be the best campground in Washington, the camp hosts were great and kept everything clean. Had 3 years away from here due to health and other reasons. Sad to see what happened in 3 years. The camp hosts used to clean and stock the restrooms twice each day. They would drive around and see trash, stop and pick it up. This time the host only came bye the restroom one time in 5 days. Stocked TP but did not clean anything. Camp filled up Friday and Then from Saturday morning there was no toilet paper. Many people left on Saturday. Camp Hosts seemed to be nice people, but as far as being a campground host I do not know. Maybe the job requirement changed, I did see the old sign that the restrooms were cleaned twice a day, but that was in the flushing toilet that was repaired the last day of our stay. These signs that used to be in the pit toilets 3 years before were not there any more. Maybe this Outdoor Recreation Hospitality company has changed how they keep up campgrounds. Looks like they get plenty of money from the forest service to run these campgrounds, lots of vehicles, trailers, fancy lawn mowers, and carts.
The retired couple that used to host this campground were some of the best people around. They made it an awesome campground. Now It is still a great place, but will think twice about staying again unless things change.

Nice campground, limited river access and no trails. The little bit of a path was very overgrown.

The campsite is fine if you want to be in a dense canopy, but is by no means riverfront as described. Could not see or hear the river at all. I was glad we brought our own toilet paper since the tp in the vault toilet was empty and never replaced. Campground could use some tlc.

The camp host was pretty bad. Toilet paper ran out Friday night and wasn’t restocked as of Sunday mud morning when we left. The camp host also had a fire, despite there being a burn ban, was selling firewood, and left their own fire unattended. Other than that the campground was okay. The double sites didn’t really have space for two tents, just two cars.

The river and weather was wonderful.
We spent 4 nights and 5 days. During our visit we never saw a camp host. We’ve been staying there for many years. We rent the large group area. (Which has its own vault toilet”.) In the past a host would come by daily to see if it needed attention. We ran out of toilet paper on day 2. I highly recommend you bring toilet paper.

The group site was great, lovely spot, with close access to the river. We had six tents, about 24 people, which fit nicely without crowding.

This was a lovely campground! I camped with a small RV and we had no trouble parking, had plenty of privacy, and appreciated the small size of the campground (only 24 sites!) No cell service (AT&T). We were there over a holiday weekend and even though the place filled up, it was still private and peaceful. The hosts were always available, checking on the place, and stocking the bathrooms. I wish there were more access points for the river and trails.

Helpful, friendly, and kind camp hosts. Most sites have good privacy and separation. Would only get a higher rating if there were a better swimming hole — deep water for jumping in and swimming— with direct access at the campground.

Good campsite to explore the area around Carson. Site 11 was generally large enough to accommodate 2 tents with the right mix of shade and sunny spots and adequate separation between the adjacent sites. Access to Wind River was good. Camp Host appeared to make minimal rounds, but the bathrooms were clean and the campground quiet.

We had both sites 11 &14.
This area had a ton of bees and flies. We had no issues with mosquitoes though. Next to the river which was very shallow at this time but still really nice to walk down to. All the camp sites are really small but they do all have a tent pad. The host was friendly. The bathrooms were kept clean.

There is no cell service unless you head towards town.

Site 11 is very small and has a slope towards the back. You would likely struggle if you need to set up another tent. Right next to the bathroom.

Site 14 is a little bigger than 11 and also next to a bathroom but was pretty level. We didn't really have any issues. Lots of chipmunks or ground squirrels that were not afraid of people or getting into your stuff.
