Panther Creek is a beautiful, serene campground. The sites are spacious and set so you have plenty of space between yourself and other campsites. A number of hiking trails lead down to the creek as well as across the campground still leaving plenty of privacy. I'll definitely be back;

I had space 11 with little to no traffic and lots of privacy. There are many varieties of trees and vegetation. It is lush. The creek is beautiful.

Been coming here for five years. The campground setting is gorgeous and the host does a wonderful job managing the site. Restrooms are the cleanest!

We had a wonderful stay at this campground. The host was friendly and interesting, and kept the place looking great. We spent most of our time at the creek, but also up and down the road with bicycles. Not far from town, so I could go in to get a connection without trouble, but far enough away to feel truly immersed in the woods and water. Fun to see PCT hikers coming through, too.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the best camping experience here. It was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever camped, with lots of walking trails, access to the Pacific Crest Trail, and many different areas of creek access. However, upon arriving, there was a sign that said “no campfires”. One of the most exciting things for me when camping is the ability to have a campfire, and make smores, and we had already purchased the firewood. I wish we would have been notified when we made our reservation months prior that we couldn’t have a campfire, so we wouldn’t have been disappointed upon arrival.
Another notable experience was an odd man approaching my campground on my first day there, and saying some questionable things. He was very unkind and it was extremely eerie! I felt on edge for the rest of my time there, fearing that he would come back.
The entire campground was very crowded, and not everyone was respectful at night time. Our neighbors were very loud all throughout the night, and they were really close by. I’d really do some research beforehand to find a more secluded spot if you can, because ours had a clear view of our neighbors. However, our site did have close access to a creek trail, so if you are interested, check out spot #25.
The camp host was very kind, and again, it was a beautiful place. Just a little bit disappointing.

Amazing site, beautiful forest.
One challenge was that recreation.com didn’t update the fire ban information (even though the camp host had made multiple requests). I did intentionally look for that info on the site before we left. As a result, we had to leave for dinner because we couldn’t have a fire. Not a huge deal, but annoying since I had looked for that info.
