We got a beautiful, clean spot where we could hear the creek running--very relaxing. It is a lovely place. We also enjoy meeting some of the people coming off the PCT. We missed the ambiance of having a campfire, but understand the need to be careful in this drought year. We used my campstove instead.

Spacious sites with lots of trees for shade. Well maintained. Panther Creek is a great place to cool off when it’s hot.

We went here to beat the heat and discovered a treasure. Very quiet deep in the forest. The Pacific Crest Trail cuts through about 100 yards from the campground, so we could say, "We did a segment of the PCT" even though it was just a mile out and a mile back. :) The campsites are mostly spread way, way apart and buffered by trees. We didn't hear anyone. And the creek! A handful spots make access the creek easy. Multiple swimming holes. Even on a 85-degree day the creek was COLD but refreshing. We'll definitely be back. We had probably the largest trailer in the place--30 feet. The website says A-OK. It was a little tricky backing around a corner on a one-way road with folks waiting for me. But we got in.
