What Guests Are Saying
Hawk Creek Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a stunning waterfall, ample shade, and great opportunities for kayaking and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful ambiance, wildlife sightings, and the cleanliness of the campground. However, some guests have reported noise disturbances from fellow campers, issues with the access road, and inadequate bathroom facilities, which could detract from the overall experience.

We have been camping at Hawk Creek for many years. One of our favorite places. Sadly, now there are lots of big rigs that can barely fit into their space, running generators constantly. We have a small 18 ft trailer, and use solar to charge our batteries. Won’t go back.

Be aware there is no camp host on site. People left food out all night. Generators ran all night and people were loud way after 10. Not a good experience and we camp all the time. We had never been to Hawk Creek which is in a beautiful area. Great kayaking. But will probably not go back to camp there.

Worst camping experience. No shade and no privacy. The site was small even though i entered the length of my trailer and my truck into the information on the reservation site. Bugs were out of this world horrible. The lake was nasty and more like a swamp. The park ranger told me the kids can't play on the dock because it's given preference for boaters. There weren't any boats and he only told me that and not the other adults that were actually on the dock. There was only one way in and one way out so if something were to happen we would all be trapped. There were a couple of decent sites but so much traffic for such a small loop that it was ridiculous. Won't be returning.
