What Guests Are Saying
Hawk Creek Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with a stunning waterfall, ample shade, and great opportunities for kayaking and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful ambiance, wildlife sightings, and the cleanliness of the campground. However, some guests have reported noise disturbances from fellow campers, issues with the access road, and inadequate bathroom facilities, which could detract from the overall experience.

This is the third year we’ve camped here in the early season. It’s in a great location and is usually pretty empty. It was busy this time, and was great to see the campground nearly full over the weekend. The downside was that the bathroom nearest the waterfall was packed with flies and none of the dried leaves had been picked up. Campers (including us) were racking and sweeping leaves, especially away from the fire rings, to reduce fire hazard. Hawk Creek is a “pack it in, pack it out” campground so you have to take your trash with you- a fact lost on many who came to the day use area by the waterfall. Disappointing when people don’t pick up after themselves!

A hidden gem. Only one other camper there, so it was wonderfully quiet. The waterfall is beautiful, as are the surrounding hills. Do note your rig size because many of the sites are pretty short and there’s nowhere to park your vehicle except in that space.

for larger rv, trimming of over hanging branches would be recommended

We had the place to ourselves and it was very quiet. The crew kept the toilets clean and supplied.
