What Guests Are Saying
Kachess campground offers a beautiful, scenic environment with spacious and private campsites, making it a popular choice for many visitors. Numerous reviews praise the cleanliness of the campground and the friendliness of the staff, along with access to hiking trails and the lake. However, some concerns were raised about sanitation issues in the vault toilets, low lake water levels, and a lack of enforcement of campfire bans, which detracted from the overall experience for some campers.

The campsites are clean and good size. Bathroom is clean. The website says “campfire allowed” and we keep checking to make sure it hasn’t changed but when we get to the campground, there’s a burn band and all food that we prepared for this trip are for grilling. The website needs to be updated and I think it’s just better to call straight to the campground and check.

It was an awesome time minus how the water was so low compare to our first time visiting. I hope next year would be different.

John the camp host was a very nice guy and a very polite person. That being said I will say that the bathrooms were very dirty and had no toilet paper for at least a day until someone in my party finally said something to him but he did take care of it. Also there was a NO FIRE! Ban in place yet there was campers with fires???? Very disappointed with this camping ground which is unfortunate because my husband and I have camped at various other campgrounds being that we’re retired. We did manage to enjoy our visit but wished for a better experience.

The campsite was not cleaned up and there were raw burger meat and hot dogs left in the campfire area. Bathrooms were very dirty.

Campground was great - friendly camp host, working toilets, running water, beautiful views, walkable areas on the beach when chilling at camp. We did the Rachel's Lake hike one day, very beautiful hike - lots of waterfalls on the way up and lake to swim in at the top!

Nice campsite with plenty of room. Camp host John was wonderful - even parked our kayak trailer for us. Lake level was very low, but kids still managed to swim, and adults could kayak, we just had to deal with some mud.
