What Guests Are Saying
Kachess campground offers a beautiful, scenic environment with spacious and private campsites, making it a popular choice for many visitors. Numerous reviews praise the cleanliness of the campground and the friendliness of the staff, along with access to hiking trails and the lake. However, some concerns were raised about sanitation issues in the vault toilets, low lake water levels, and a lack of enforcement of campfire bans, which detracted from the overall experience for some campers.

Excellent Campsite, had a decent amount of shade compared to other sites on this campground, but still can get very hot.
Not a fan of vault toilets, but the staff did their best to keep it clean, so kudos to them
The biggest disappointment was the water - it was cloudy and our dog got sick. Highly recommend not using the tap water at this site.

Love this place! Even if the lake is low, it’s still one of the best spots to camp.

The campsite and area is beautiful. I have stayed so many times and usually have time to book a reservation in advance. Website closes out bookings a few days in advance. Last minute trip from the city with no reservation. Arrived at 9pm just getting dark. Every site said see camp host but if it was booked would show last name. Went to camp host spot they said the host wasn’t there. Rode around and pulled up booking site. Pulled up FF sites first come first serve. Went to that site said it wasn’t booked until 3 days later. Set up. Terri the camp host came over really aggressive that we started setting up. (It was getting dark) the site said FF but she informed me all sites are booked. (The loop was empty) I told her about the website and the first come first serve and she said well the website is wrong and it’s ran out of Kansas City. I apologized but didn’t understand why she was so weird about availability when it was a Sunday and the campsites were empty. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong when in reality if the website doesn’t match what is really happening at the loop then shouldn’t she be trying to fix it and not take it out on people? Living in Seattle I’m sure lots of people head up last minute to hopefully find a spot. Why gate keep such a beautiful area ? She made it sound like I could stay after the whole situation with first come first serve but was it really needed? The back and forth just to admit yes the site is available. Ran into other campers and they said the same thing. Just weird interactions. The campground is beautiful.

On July 23, 2024, we stayed overnight at the Kachess Campground in Easton, WA. The campground was pretty and full of trees, providing a pleasant, natural setting. The sites were well maintained, and the campground was bustling with families. However, it settled down in the evening, making for a peaceful night. Access within the loops was a bit tight for our 32' RV, and unfortunately, I damaged a step on a stump while making a sharp right-hand turn. One aspect I didn't like was that I had to pull the RV forward into the site, which made maneuvering challenging. There was no Verizon cell phone coverage, but fortunately, our Starlink provided reliable internet. Despite these challenges, the beauty of the campground made it a worthwhile stop.
