Beautiful campground! Saw lots of wildlife, including elk. Fun hikes and clean facilities Just thought that amenities are limited and the nearest shower and markets are well outside of the park.

We stayed in Loop A campsite 16. There is no tent pad. We have an 8 person tent, and had to place it on uneven ground with holes. The information at the camp reader board warned that we needed to put our food in bear boxes due to recent bear activity in the camp. There were no bear boxes provided. We have stayed in Mount Rainier, Crater Lake and North Cascades National parks, and all of those provided bear boxes. The site had great access to the river. I would recommend booking campsite 18 that was next to us. It has a tent pad, and good access to the river. I would not recommend staying in campsite 16.

Very nice forest campground. Green and quiet. Very close to visitor center and forest trails.
Would be nice if the bathroom had soap and a trash can.

This was an excellent location with easy access to the Hall of Mosses and other trails! The bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed our stay!
