Super quiet campground even though it was completely full. No generators could be heard. Bathrooms were very clean. Short walk to visitor center and trail heads.

While the NPS is successful in attracting visitors to this location, the strain on visitor center and the adjacent nature trails is quite apparent at the Hoh rainforest. Visitor center toilet facilities at the end of the day is reflected in the damage to plants adjacent to visitor center trails. The trail along the Hoh river valley is also heavily travelled for several miles. The foot traffic dust on the plants adjacent to the rainforest nature trail is very obvious. As in other NPS locations, signs plead with visitors to stay on the trail, nevertheless some still veer off to get their perfect picture or their perfect experience for the few minutes they have to experience the park. Our one night of a very quiet campground experience was pleasant. Perhaps absence of noisy or reveling camp neighbors is typical of the culture of overnight visitors to this location.

We enjoyed being close to the hikes and visitors center. The campground sights were close together. We had a sight that was for camp trailers, but we were suppose to just park on a very narrow pull off, that was really just the side of the road. This was hard for our family with small children. This was one of our 10 national park campsites we have stayed in, over the last 3 weeks. So we have a very good exposure to NP Campsites back to back. This one is a solid 3 stars. Fine, but not great.

Pretty roomy campsite, close to a path that leads down to the river. Could see neighbors, but still felt semi-private. It was shady during the day with the trees nearby. Bathrooms kept up and clean.

Beautiful location, obviously. The campground has excellent amenities including heated bathrooms with flush toilets. The campsites themselves are cozy, the A and B loops don’t have a ton of privacy between sites/the road. There’s no real access to the river from the campground which is a bummer; you kind of have to bushwhack through the C camping loop to get there and even then it’s a bit treacherous to get to the actual river. But the proximity to the hall of mosses and other hikes was nice! Plan for waiting at least 30 minutes, but more realistically an hour+ to actually get into the National park - the gate gets very backed up.
