Nice sized campsites. Incredible setting. Great access to the Hoh River Trail and then there is the Hall of Mosses and the Spruce Nature Trails. Something for everyone. If you time it right, the wait a the gate is inconsequential in the grand schemes.

We had three great nights camping at the Hoh River Campground in Loop A. The sites were spacious. The stars at night were incredible. It was within walking distance of the Visitor’s Center and the trailheads. We plan to return next year.

The tent space was lumpy, but our sleeping pad mad it not noticeable. This spot is not private, but everyone is courteous and being less wooded improved our stargazing, while listening to the very nearby river and distant elk calls. It was an easy walk to water and bathrooms. The bathrooms were nice, warm in the mornings and we could not smell them from the campsite.

Great space, wooded, next to the rest rooms, pretty smooth tent space. Very close to the visitor center. We caught a lecture and a tour of the hall of mosses. Bravo Ranger Todd and Ranger Lisa, fungis we likened a lot. It was interesting and unfortunate to see how much people going even slightly off trail damaged plants and the ground itself.
