What Guests Are Saying
Mora Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites nestled in a lush coastal forest, offering privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Its proximity to Rialto Beach and various hiking trails enhances the camping experience, making it an ideal base for exploring Olympic National Park. While some facilities, particularly bathrooms, could use more attention, and there are no showers available, the overall charm and natural beauty of the campground make it a favorite for many campers.

This location should be called Mora Rain Forest and Beach, to let the public know that opportunities to visit the old-growth primordial rain forests exist throughout the Park, and in this case fascinating beaches were close by as well. Mora was the nicest campground of the four I stayed in at Olympic National Park. The sites were beautifully nestled into a forested area with really tall trees, with plenty of space between sites. Each site had an off-street driveway into it, for easy access to tent site, picnic table, campfire area(no fires were permitted while I visited). There is not much of a ranger station at Mora, and no food concession or lodge. But if you've brought your own food, it's a great campground. The short rainforest hikes from the ranger station (not far from the campground) should be better advertised and marked, because they're well worth exploring, and give visitors a good look at the rain forest.

Bathrooms were newer and clean! You’ll need to level your RV or Trailer on most campsites.

Because demand for this place is SO HIGH it is very difficult to reserve in advance. Then we arrive and there are LOTS of empty campsites! I’ll be back again.

Loved this campground. It was very clean and some sites like that one I stayed out allowed for privacy. Not all are like this. For a 94 site campground, it was not loud either. Mostly tent campers as well.

we loved staying at Olympic National park. we loved our campground and the beautiful proximity to the beach and hiking. The restrooms at our loop D needed updating we noticed that loop e had newer nicer bathrooms. we had difficulty making a reservation ( got off the waiting list ) , When we were there ( as is true with other completely booked campgrounds at other national park campgrounds ) we noticed a number of No shows. I think the reservation system should have more incentives for canceling the reservation( or disincentives for not showing up ) if you don't play of using it.

The only thing keeping this from being a perfect 5 stars for me is the fact that at least five families with small children showed up to the campsite at 8pm and the kids didn’t quiet down until at least midnight. Other than that, perfect location and perfect weather. Loved staying there.

Mora Campground is a beautiful we(s)t coast campground. There are nice paved access roads. The campsites are nestled in beautiful thick forest, so expect a bit more shade and generally cooler conditions. To be fair, the sites are fairly close to each other, so I'd say medium privacy. The washrooms, while a bit of a walk, were in good/excellent condition. No showers if tenting.
The campsite is a short bicycle ride to Rialto beach. The must see destination here.

Site was great. Felt pretty private with the trees and plants around the site. Bathrooms were kept up very well. Just 5 minutes from Rialto Beach!
