A beautiful setting! Sites closest to the river have very little room between them. Sites further away offer more privacy.

We received a written warning from camp host that we could not park our boat trailer with one tire off the pavement. Nothing but bare dirt there. We've been able to do this for years with no problem. Where's the common sense? We left after 1 night and forfeited our 2nd reserved nite. Out $30 plus the hassle of leaving early. Campsite next door had fenced their site for dogs with stuff all over on the bare dirt. Don't see what a tire would hurt. Not pleased.

Lots of generators running during daylight. Several campers n boaters don’t leash their dogs. No staff around. Area is clean, mud up to your ankles if trying to access water from campsite.

The camp host was great! The people next to us left their dogs chained up all day in 90 degree weather. He made sure they had food & water & checked on them. He was personable, funny, and kind. Great guy!

Great visit and a good campground EXCEPT for night boat storage. Not being within 200 yds+ of my fishing boat at night is why we left early over security concerns. Except for this major concern I'd love to camp at hunter's. So much so that I'd be willing to "rent" two camp spots - one for my RV and one for my boat for security. The other option would be the boat ramp/marina in the middle of the campground IF the water was deep and protected enough. It was not on this visit.
Still we enjoyed our stay and the fishing was great. cheers Philip W. Gum
