About Hunters Campground

Hunters Campground sits along the northern shoreline of Lake Roosevelt. The facility is popular among hunters and fishermen, but is also comfortable for families. Although there is no view of the lake directly from the campground, a boat launch and beach are located within the facility.  Lake Roosevelt is a 130-mile lake on the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. Named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it is part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area managed by the National Park Service.

Great visit and a good campground EXCEPT for night boat storage. Not being within 200 yds+ of my fishing boat at night is why we left early over security concerns. Except for this major concern I'd love to camp at hunter's. So much so that I'd be willing to "rent" two camp spots - one for my RV and one for my boat for security. The other option would be the boat ramp/marina in the middle of the campground IF the water was deep and protected enough. It was not on this visit.

Still we enjoyed our stay and the fishing was great. cheers Philip W. Gum

The park was very clean and the host was diligent. We will park further from the shore next time to miss the loud generators. I’m glad they had them if needed but I want o hear the birds singing.
Thank you for this beautiful experience of natural things. And of course I thank the Creator of such beauty.

Wow! Great site! I wish we had more time to explore and enjoy the lake as well! We can’t wait to go back!

I'm glad I didn't have to pay full price. Restrooms closed, no dumpsters. And every body bunched up. Had I not had to reserve my spot ahead of time. I would have chose one away from everyone.

Very nice campground with excellent access to the Columbia River. Some trees and brush do need some trimming back but other than that, we had an excellent stay.

Bathrooms had spiders, floors were dirty and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Multiple people running generators constantly including way beyond 10 pm quiet time. Camp host didn’t ask people to turn off their generators after 10 pm.
