we always have a good time at Lake Gillette been going there for the past 7 years usually try and get the same spot..the camp hosts are always so much fun to visit with and they are always on top of things if there is any kind of a issue that arises except for it being a little smokey this year we still had a great time so will be booking again next year..thank you Debbie

The small campground and park are very beautiful. If kayaking, you have access to all 4 lakes. As the lakes are relatively small in size, it's an easy paddle to do 2 in one day, 2 another. Nice beach and boat launch. Great swimming platform and roped-off area for kids and adults. Dogs not allowed in swimming beach area. Motor boat traffic is light, even on the weekends. The dry campsites are mostly level. There are fresh water access points in the campground and day-use areas. The public toilets are clean and well-maintained. The camp hosts were welcoming and very helpful.
The area does draw large traffic of ATV and dirt motorcycle enthusiasts to the area on the weekends, so expect some level of noise from this activity. The only complaint of this area is there was frequent loud blast noise late evening Friday and Saturday. We were told this was coming from people setting off M-80s. The sounds were akin to cannons going off.
We were unable to get mobile cell coverage from the campsite.
(Camped in 30-foot travel trailer with generator, 4 nights F/S/S/M)

This campground was pleasant, but the local rangers were rude and unfriendly. We were threatened with citation for having our dog on a long lead in camp. The line kept her within the confines of our camp but they said it had to be 6’ or less. This would have made sense under some circumstances but …. we were the ONLY campers there for most of our stay!

It was not clear when we made the reservations that there were no ATV's allowed on site. The campsites were short compared to their listing and very difficult to back into.

Spc 10 is a double site, very spacious, and clean! Private if parking a trailer and truck. Swimming area was very busy, 7-11 and 7-12-20. No social distancing practice there. Great fishing if you have a small boat, nothing from shore. Small campground, but really pretty! Was our 2nd visit this year.
