What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch Campground offers a stunning location close to the beach, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the clean facilities and the helpful lodge staff, who provided exceptional assistance during their stay. However, some noted issues with noise from Highway 101, limited bathroom facilities, and difficulties in securing preferred campsites, suggesting that while the campground is beautiful, improvements in maintenance and accessibility are needed. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and expressed a desire to return.

Sites are really spacious & mostly pretty private. We backed up to the main road and traffic was definitely noisy in the evening and early AM. Bathroom facilities were mostly kept up but it is such a bummer not having any shower facilities since it’s a beach site. The sand + saltwater + more and more sand with young kids was definitely challenging. There is a foot wash station by bathrooms and that became our freezing cold showers. But having even just one full full size outdoor shower to rinse after a fun day on a beach would be a very welcomed game changer. However, the sunset views, privacy, and general lack of crowds/congestion still made it totally worth the stay.

We had reservations in the main campground, we arrived a couple days early so we stayed at southbeach, wonderful spot so we gave up our spot at the campground and stayed at south beach. We did notice the campground was fully booked on line, when we drove thru the park was mostly vacant. Not really happy with the new camping reservations. The local customers that support the park year round can not get good spots unless you book a few days in advance, if you work you must plan ahead, that means most of the bookings are not in the great spots. Also way to many good spots were empty for days. Maybe look into how the state and county parks run their reservation system. We love Kalaloch and enjoy the off season to. Our stays are aways awesome.

Perfectly as advertised! You are definitely unplugged but still have the amenities needed for extra comfort. We took our 2 & 3 year olds with us and the canopy cover provided enough shade in the early evening to go to bed before the sun went down. Being steps from the beach was a huge perk! The mercantile shop just down the road was a great spot to pick up local firewood and a quick soft serve cone.

We stayed at a very small spot next to the beach. People drove too fast and were distracted looking at the beach most of the time. I felt unsafe for my kids so I was on edge most of the time.

The campground is really nice and so close to the beach! The restrooms and water sources were spaced around the campground (sink in men's room wasn't working when we were there). When we were there (7/5-7/7) it was extremely quiet at night, which actually surprised us (in a good way). The beach is easy to walk on and Ruby Beach is a short drive away. Sunset was amazing.
The campground is pretty isolated, so come prepared with everything.
