What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch Campground offers a stunning location close to the beach, with beautiful scenery and a pleasant atmosphere. Many reviewers praised the clean facilities and the helpful lodge staff, who provided exceptional assistance during their stay. However, some noted issues with noise from Highway 101, limited bathroom facilities, and difficulties in securing preferred campsites, suggesting that while the campground is beautiful, improvements in maintenance and accessibility are needed. Overall, visitors enjoyed their experience and expressed a desire to return.

This campground is in an amazing location. The sites, themselves, are wooded but the neighboring beach is expansive (there can be a big difference in temperature between camp sites and the beach). It was nice being a short distance from the bathrooms, which were remarkably clean given the number of campers. Don't miss day trips to neighboring beaches, especially Ruby Beach.

The local scenery does not disappoint. The campground sits on a low bluff and has multiple and convenient access points to the beach down steep steps.

One of the finest locations/campsites I’ve stayed at on my National Park travels. A “definite” if I’m back in the area.

Beautiful campsite next to the Pacific Ocean. I heard the waves in my tent all night. Five minute walk to the beautiful beach. Bathrooms were very clean but no showers. Same as the other national parks I have visited in western states. Quiet at night

I liked this campground. Close to beach 1, 2, 3, 4 and Ruby beach and an hour to Hoh Rainforest.
My site was close to the ocean so I didnt hear highway traffic, which may be an issue for sites closer to the road.
Bathrooms were clean, only one sink though.
Kind of noisy during quiet hours, but it happens.
Id camp here again. I liked it more than the private campground I stayed at for the 2nd part of my trip.

So many people loved this campsite but I found it rather disappointing. Broken toilets and sinks, drinking water not on. But the most frustrating was the rangers. They were intense and rude, yet people had campfires during the fire ban and they did nothing. We will skip future trips through this service group. The other agency has nicer amenities and are easier to book. Very disappointing

Love staying at Kalaloch for obvious reasons. Our camp site this time around was near the road, so it wasn’t as quiet. The camp spot was so close to another camp spot, we could hear everything the neighbors were doing or saying. Alas, that is the only spot we could reserve. The bathroom situation was less than good this time around. The two restrooms near our camp ground were both partially inoperable. One had a whole stall that was broken out of the two and the other had a broken sink with no soap or water to wash hands after going to the bathroom. Be prepared.

My recommendation for people is to get off the road and go down the trails. So many people drive it to only stop at the lodge and say didn't see much.
Short drive to the Quinault Rain Forest much easier access than the Hoh at times
La Push and those hikes

Klalaloch is a beautiful campground with really nice sites that feel private. Some sites have beach views, while others are tucked away in the forest. I would avoid staying in a site along the 101 as traffic will be noisy. We had a site (A9) tucked into the trees with privacy and were lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. Lots of points to get down to access the beach. The bathrooms were a bit messy and one of the toilets was out of order, as was the water/wash station in the A loop, which meant we had to walk over to the B loop to rinse our dishes or get water. There are no showers and no cell service. Even with a few cons, I would recommend this campground and would stay again.
