American Forks Campground offers a lovely setting with well-maintained sites and a pleasant walk to the river. Most campsites provide good privacy and are adequately spaced. However, the campground lacks fresh water, so visitors should bring their own or find it at nearby campgrounds.

Our site was located adjacent to the Restroom; the odors where a bit intrusive and unpleasant at times. In the future I would not use this specific camp site again (think it was #9, don't have my reservation you will have to verify). The rest of our overall experience was pleasant and satisfactory. Put some brown trout in the river! Thanks!

Nice quiet campground, clean restroom (for a pit toilet), easy to get into my space. Close to the river, and an easy walk to the American Ridge trail.

It's a lovely campground, and we liked that the spaces aren't crowded together.
We spent a lot of our time up the hill at the American Lodge, (reserved by friends for our large group,) but would definitely come back just to enjoy the sound of the river and the wind in the trees.
We and two other couples camped at American Forks (we didn't want to try to take our trailers up to the lodge) and all agreed we'd come back.

Very clean and well maintained, plenty of spaces. I would like to see more guidelines or rules concerning use of generators and electronic entertainment i.e. restrictive hours etc.
