While at Hause Creek Campground, we had a wonderful time staying by the river that flows through the site.

We were at Site 20, which is probably the biggest site in the campground. And it was a nice spot. But be aware that the pictures of Site 20 show the spot right on the edge of the creek, which is not true. You park about 75 feet away and there is a barrier going to prevent vehicles from approaching the picnic area any closer. That was a bit of a disappointment. So if you want to go down to the picnic table area, you will be walking about 75 feet to it. But once you go down there, you have good access to the creek. But you will be walking a bit. Cell service is pretty good there, maybe 2-3 bars on ATT.

Site 19 was along the river and had access to a rocky beach along the shore. Most of sites at this campground have little access to the river, so it was a little awkward to keep other campers from using the same space. Once we had that sorted out it was very relaxing. We enjoyed the bats hunting insects between the trees at dusk.

Nice private campground with a really nice access point to the river that feels like a personal beach. It was the best campsite in my opinion. Lots of shade and trees. Bathrooms were in nice condition with air fresheners hanging inside. Overall, I was very surprised and happy with the site as I had no idea what to expect. I could still see our neighbors but there was some trees and element of privacy you don’t always get at campsites. I would definitely return.

Great river spots and a super camp host. We had a great weekend here, a cool spot despite the hot weather.

Campsite 14 was okay, we really didn’t like how there wasn’t enough shade. We literally had to move around our site where the shade turned from the beaming sun.
Phone service (T-mobile) was terrible even though we had iPhone 12 and 13 pro max, 5G wasn’t even working there at all.
During the day it’s really hot, while during night time it’s really chilly. Good thing we were right next to the water, that helped with the hot temp!
Our hosts (Ms. Summer and her husband) was amazing guest hosts. They were really friendly, nice, amazing people!!! Thanks guys for taking care of us and making our camping trip great, we really appreciate it.
We’re already looking into reserving with hause creek next time BUT definitely going to another spot where there’s more shade😊.
Overall our experience here was awesome, thanks to our hosts.
Definitely coming back!!!

It is a tie as to what I should lead with, the facility or the host. Let me just say that the campground hosts were awesome, the bathrooms were impeccably clean and they were very helpful.
One of the things that was appealing to us about this Campground is its lack of amenities. We enjoy escaping technology, so a dry camp without power, water and Wi-Fi I think improves not only the camping experience but the people who Camp there as a whole. You will not see houses on wheels, but simple camping as it should be.
The trees provide shade but not privacy. You will be able to see your neighbor and they will be able to see you. But in our case our fellow campers were very respectful and although walking alongside the river took you right through our campsite I never felt invaded.
The only complaint and I assume it's only transitory is that toilets that we used were just installed but the construction site around it had not been finished, leaving sizable rocks between you and the toilet. This is not a huge issue but for an older person such as myself a bit of a trip hazard and a little bit more drama when making the pilgrimage at night. I will also add but as a minor issue our picnic table was in a degree of disrepair such that nails were exposed and supports were not really doing their job. The table was still solid and safe but it is a future maintenance item.
