Indian Creek (WA)

We got there by Google maps, the directions on website are wrong. Nice camping spot, pretty good sites.

I understand everyone’s reviews on the campground being noisy, pick a camp away from12 and you’ll be just fine. The host was excellent and the grounds were well kept.

It was very rainy and cold but beautiful and the tree coverage kept us dry!

This campground is SUPERB! MIKE is AWESOME! SAFE, CLEAN, WELL KEPT, MANAGED WELL AND FRIENDLY! MIKE IS VERY HELPFUL, CONSIDERATE, RESPECTFUL AND CONSCIENCES! Took extra time to assist me with what ever I needed, and being disabled THIS means a lot!! WE WANT MIKE ALWAYS!

Though we only had one lovely day during our trip, the area felt isolated and the site we chose allowed us to feel that we were not on top of other campers. It is also always a great amenity to have available drinking water to fill our containers. Michael was a great camp host and we appreciate him checking in with us and also providing a lot of useful information for future camping. We enjoyed our stay and we were not far from water features and markets/delis.

This is definitely a water recreationer’s place! The campsites are nicely wooded, but with the exception of a very few, are not private. Or quiet. The campground is directly off HWY 12 so you’ll hear constant traffic noise (big rigs!) even through the night, and the noise from Silver Beach resort can get loud too, when it’s full and if you’re on the Highway side of the campground, which we were, at site 34.
There is a trail that cuts over right there though and they have a store with a cafe, firewood and boat rentals. There’s even a play area for kids with swings and a zip line.
We took a peddle boat with the kids out to the little island in Rimrock lake and it was gorgeous.
They have a small beach at the resort along the lake, otherwise access to the water inside the campground was sketchy without a boat because there’s really no shore anywhere when the water is high.
We were just there over 4th of July and the water was very high. There are trails that go around the lake and we found streams and dry creek beds to explore, so there’s plenty to do away from the campsite.
The sites are big and open, we saw a lot of RVs.
If I had known more about the campground beforehand I probably would have chosen something a bit deeper in the forest with more private sites but, truthfully, being out on that beautiful sparkling lake and tromping through creek beds basically made the noise and lack of privacy worth dealing with for a few nights, so if your plan is to be out on the water or elsewhere most of the day and use the campsite just to eat and crash, this is a great spot - but bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

This is a conveniently located campground next to Rimrock Lake along highway 12. It's a great location for anyone looking to do lake activities or to hike in the southern Cascades. The campground is fairly standard, but it's worth noting that this has one of the most exposed sites that I've ever been around. There is pretty much no division between sites such that you can see your neighbors not just across the road but also three or four sites to either side and even the other end of the campground. Only a few of the lake-side ones (30, 31) have some measure of vegetative privacy. The rest pretty much do not, and some clearly are designed for large groups to get two adjacent sites to form a conjoined site. This was fine for me, but this is not the campsite for you if you like being alone in nature with some semblance of privacy. Keep in mind that there are a lot of other campsites / resorts around the lake, so there's also the issue that noise can leak over from them (the "resort" next door had a barking dog and crying baby for most of my stay). Lake access is literally 20 feet from the loop though, so great for anyone looking to get out on the water. There are a series of trails (more like lake access points) on the west end of the campground that might lead to areas better for fishing.

Nice large campsites.

I had site 4 which is close to the road but was private no one next to me, the bathroom on on the right and water/trash near i left just as the july 4th crowd was coming in. I already have plans to return. I did notice most sites are best booked in doubles for privacy. I had a large site backed to the woods. By the way camp host was very nice and helpful

We love this place! Great weekend getaway for my family and always clean! We keep coming back to this location!
