I loved how far each site was from another - how clean everything was - and how great the hosts were - definitely would come again.

Not far from Tipsoo Lake and less than an hour to Sunrise Visitor Center. Our spot (#025) was by the river and very peaceful - plenty of shade and not too close to the neighboring sites.

Clean campsite, 10 minutes from chinook pass, and very private for being a large campground.

Campground was clean and very well maintained. The camp hosts were fantastic. The toilets where surprisingly nice despite being just vault or pit toilets. Campsites on the east loop are well spread out. During our stay the campground was quiet. I recommend staying in a site away from the main road. The picnic table in the camp was sturdy, and the fire pits are a unique design. Overall a wonderful 2 nights.

The campground looks very inviting, and there weren't many people there when we visited. It's very convenient to Mt. Ranier, just a scenic drive up the mountain highway, with beautiful views. However, when we were there in September 2019, the water was an unusual brown color, and we chose to go to another campground to get a supply of water. Realize that there are only pit toilets, in nice new buildings, but pit toilets nonetheless. We stayed 3 nights and it met our needs. Very quiet.

Never made it to Lodgepole as Cayuse Pass was closed due to a mudslide just before we got there. Even though we couldn't reach the campground we were not given a refund and had to sleep in the car on the road. I wouldn't book this campsite again.
