We loved this campground and would like to rate it higher. The only problem was that the solar-powered water pump was barely/not operational, so we had to drive 3 miles up the highway to get water. Fortunately for us, we had 2 5 gallon jugs we could fill, so we only had to get water once a day. That said, since we weren’t notified of the water situation, if we’d been in the situation of some other campers there, we might just have been out of luck. We would recommend that, if the weather in winter Is too hard on the equipment, the Forest Service should just go back to a hand pump, which is what the other campground had, and it worked just fine. Other than that a lovely campground.

We had a great experience at the Lodgepole Campground area. Great area for night photographers. Some of the sites do not offer much privacy but it is a small enough camp ground, that the traffic is not bothersome. It is at a great location, not far from the Tipsoo area. We have a weekend this year booked again and look forward to it. Definitely recommend.

Good Location but no real trails in the area. Would be a great improvement if a few miles (or more) of trails could be added.....possibly even connect to other established trails near this area. Otherwise no complaints.

Water is available in this location via a handpump and/or water spigot. Please DO NOT attach your RV hoses to the water systems we provide. These are made available to you to fill your water jugs/buckets and take back to your site to use. If you need to fill your RV water tanks, please fill your tank before you come to the campground.
