What Guests Are Saying
Lodgepole Campground offers spacious sites in a serene atmosphere, perfect for stargazing and enjoying nature. Many guests appreciate the cleanliness and helpfulness of the camp hosts, along with the beautiful surroundings and proximity to hiking trails and Mt. Rainier. Some drawbacks include limited amenities (no water supply for RVs, lack of showers) and occasional issues with trash disposal, but overall, visitors express a strong desire to return.

We had a beautiful spot and a peaceful weekend. But the website failed to state that there was NO WATER in the campground! And the bathroom nearest our campsite was all locked up the entire wknd.

My first time to Lodgepole in early September. I stayed in site 15. Was a little open but I enjoyed my visit.
You can hear the river in the background. Despite the roadway being close I didn’t really notice highway noise.
I look forward to going back.

Great location, wish I knew about Sheep's Lake sooner.

A nice campground overall in a tucked away area of the woods near Mt. Rainier, with simple facilities and nice sites with plenty of space.
There are a lot of downed trees scattered around the site, which I am unsure if this is related to recent work culling the trees for fire season, however, it does sometimes make navigating around and placing tents or equipment a bit tricky.
Additionally, this site is prone to campfire bans and water being shut off, both of which happened to us, so if you plan on using fires, consider reserving earlier in the season to avoid the inconvenience.

This was a great campground. I loved that it was paved snd allowed the kids to ride bikes and scooters. Lots of tree’s and shade throughout the day. We’ll be back.
