What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

Camping at La Wiz Wis is absolutely fantastic especially when arriving Sunday afternoon staying thru Wednesday. The campground was near empty and very quiet and peaceful. We lived it there and plan on coming back again.

They call the campsite a pull through, WRONG it's a pull over step come out on the road side into traffic. The camp table on the off side .if there were other campers in the site's in front of this site you wouldn't be able to get out of this spot.⁹

No camp attendant during our stay. A few campers were loud and others had campfires despite the strict burn ban. There was no water in the campground, but we were notified in advance and brought additional. The campground itself is extremely beautiful and (mostly) peaceful.

Great stay during the Labor Day Swap Meet in Packwood. I love how spacious and quiet the campground can be, and we enjoyed wandering the river a bit too.
