Pretty and quiet campground

The campground was closing early for the season so it was very quiet. Had to pack in our own water which was easy enough, packwood is very close. Saw salmon in the rivers.

Nice campground, but most spots are tight and small. Tents and small rigs only. No water and no electric.

Very nice campround, great location next to MRNP and close to the Paradise Visitor Center. Close to Packwood, where gas/supplies are easily accessible. Even with no running water, it was a great trip. The host was on top of things and we saw them do rounds around the campground.

The campground itself is nice but do not stay at 8b. It’s directly next to a bathroom with the wind I could smell it the entire stay. Also the tent pad is pretty much unusable, the whole thing is slanted pretty bad.

Love this campground SO much! No issues, other than frustration that SOOOO MANY sites were reserved but no one showed up. We see this happen all the time. Not sure what the answer is, but would be great if sites could be reserved same day.

The camps sites were large and relatively private. We had a site right on the river, which was lovely. Vault toilets, no water at that time so no showers, flush toilets, or potable water, but the campground was still very enjoyable.

I have a 30 ft class A motorhome. The H loop is designated for larger rigs. However the signs for where H loop are poorly visible as well as the first loop in the campground. If you miss this sign, which I did you are now starting at A loop which you would think at some point H follows. No, A-D loops are small narrow sites and the loop itself very difficult to get through with my rig. Luckily after navigating painfully through A the park host guided me to H. My fault for missing the sign BUT if it were better marked or called out on the reservation I might not be writing this review. The campground is in a beautiful setting although maybe in a state of needed maintenance.
