What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

Our campsite was very spacious, private and right next to the river. A nice short walk to the Blue Hole, a nice swimming hole. The lack of water isn’t a big deal because Packwood is a short driving distance in case you run out . All the pit toilets were clean except for the one closest to our campsite. I didn’t use it because it was very stinky and the doors didn’t lock.

Great place to stay when visiting Rainier NP, especially if you have dogs. Blue Hole for swimming in after a hike was perfect! Easily 10 minutes to Packwood for stocking up on supplies and gas (none available in the park!)

Gorgeous old growth forest with the big Ohanapecosh River running through it. Most camp sites have a LOT of room and undergrowth between sites. During the week it's very quiet and the weekends this year were quiet as well. Any noise was mostly kids and families enjoying the woods. It's a lush place to set a tent or RV, and the air is amazing with evergreen smell.

This was a lovely quiet and clean campground. We brought in our own water which wasn't a problem.
NO bugs. Perfect!!
