Clean bathrooms, big campsites, and a lovely river!

There was no water, and we had hung a tarp due to rain and were told we had to remove it or be fined. However, our site was large, the person hosting was very kind, the camp was beautiful, and we were very close to rainier national park, so we had a lot of hiking and outdoor options.

Site A22 was awful. Absolutely no where to put a tent. We had to set up on the pavement driveway. Low branches hanging over the fire pit is a huge fire risk. They were just out of reach, so we couldn’t cut them even if we had the tools to. Sites along the A Loop are practically on top of each other, no privacy. The water wasn’t working either, which we did get notified ahead of time.

Beautiful campground with sites right on the river! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, no running water.

Amazing campground despite no water. Campground was clean, bathrooms were close. Big camping spots . Helpful hosts. 2 fun mini hikes from the campground to a small waterfall (Purcell) and an icy cold swimming hole (Blue hole). Magical river running by the campground. campground is about 10 minutes from the entrance gate to Mt Rainier national park

Spectacular campground but... the site A28 was reserved for a trailer but was more like a parallel parking spot. Great for tent camping. Then we were told we could not transfer to another spot but needed to pay cash or check for another spot. There is an ATM in the town 10 miles away.
That was less than ideal but the campground including Purcell Falls and the Blue Hole are exceptional for small families who enjoy throwing rocks into water.

Site 11 (looks like it was site 12) is newly renumbered and did not match the campground map. This site is wide open and had kids from other sites running through it. We would have never booked this site if we had known. Even more annoying we ended up having to pay in full a second time to move to another open site. The hosts were super friendly (5 stars) and the pit toilets were well kept. Overall this is still a great campground but know if you reserve online you cannot change sites on arrival.

It's a beautiful campground. We appreciated its closeness to the entrance of the national park.

Our family loves camping at La Wis Wis. The hosts this year were friendly, enjoyed chatted with our kids, and kept the bathrooms clean and stocked with t.p. They also took the time to offer us help to put our fire out when we were packing up. From the D loop it took us about 30 minutes to walk to the blue hole. It’s worth it! Water is freezing, but it’s still fun.
No water this year, but Packwood is a 10 min drive for cell service & water
Site H11 can accommodate a small tent and there is parking for a trailer/rv. Our 20x20 tent did not fit. We paid for a FF spot in the D loop & requested a refund through the app. The H loop is perfect for small to medium RVs. I love the ease of walking to the blue hole.
