What Guests Are Saying
La Wis Wis Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, private sites, great access to hiking trails, and the nearby Ohanapecosh River, making it ideal for nature lovers. While some guests noted issues with maintenance, lack of potable water, and crowded conditions, many appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall charm of the campground. The location near Mt. Rainier and the peaceful atmosphere during weekdays were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the experience.

This campground was in a great location with regards to Rainier. It was nestled in between large trees and lots of shade. There is convenient access to a wonderful glacier river swimming hole (Blue Hole) right from the campground! We had a cold plunge every day.
Ways the campground could improve: 1) better trash management - not enough dumpsters and they weren't bear proof, 2) no recycling, 3) despite ample bear warnings, there were no bear boxes, and 4) the drinking water has a distinct odor. Water quality needs to be checked - instead, we got our water in Rainier.

Good spot riverside. Across from the wheelchair accessible restroom. A campsite over from one of the brand new water spigots. Fixed picnic table. Can almost fit three smaller size cars in this sites parking area.

We have stayed at this campground for over 10 years unfortunately the sites were dirty the fire pits were full of ashes and there were motorcycles at all hours of the night going round and round this campsite. Pretty unfortunate to have motorcycles zipping through beautiful wilderness.
