What Guests Are Saying
The Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort Campground offers a great location near beautiful hiking trails and the hot springs, making it an ideal base for outdoor adventures. Many reviewers praised the cleanliness of the facilities, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, especially during less crowded seasons. We all thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs. That part was excellent! However, our family of six experienced major sticker shock at $15 for 90 minutes. At $90 for our group, that was $1 per minute. It used to be one price for the whole day. With that set up, everyone was hitting the showers/changing room at the same time.
The campground appeared to be beautiful...with the exception of the RV loop, where we had a reserved spot. We've camped across the US for fifty years, and are drawn to camp sites that feel like you're out in nature. The RV loop is a gravel parking lot. We were less than ten feet from our neighbors on either side and had to close all the blinds for the sake of privacy. When we had a campfire, it felt like the conversations between campsites were competing with each other because we were all SO close. Lastly, I understand the assumption that campers in the RV loop might have their own toilet available. However, that was not the case for us and we were very surprised to find the nearest overnight restroom (the lodge had a restroom available during the day) was at least a five minute walk away from our loop. To make matters worse, we did not see any directional signage to the restrooms. Perhaps we overlooked one. It was disappointing because we saw the other campground loops (on our long walk to the restroom :-) ), and they looked absolutely gorgeous! Long story short - if you're tent or van camping, highly recommend! If you're in an RV, I would not recommend - unless that's your camping style preference.

The campsite was easy to find and a good size, as well as not being too close to the neighboring sites. If the trails had been better mapped and labels that would have been helpful. We had trouble finding the trailhead for the sol duc falls loop that takes lovers lane back. Otherwise we had a good night there.

Site 26 was perfect size, close to restroom and water faucet, if only there’s a shower facility, we went to Sol Duc hot springs in the evening and that was nice.

I have been going to Sol Duc for 53 years, first as a kid then with my kids and now with their kids. I am dissappointed in what it has become. Campground reservations where almost impossible to get, gone within seconds of the opening 6 months in advance. Yet the campgrounds have empty sites everywhere. I will say that the camp hosts this year did a better job of posting vacancies and a stellar job of keeping the restrooms clean.
The expence of the pools has increased exponentially, $15 used to get an all day pass now $15 get you an hour and a half. And with kids that doesn't quite cut it.
The pools were dirty and the shower rooms were just gross (hair and slime) and the flush toilets nonfunctional. As a changing room these are almost useless only a couple of benches, no hooks to hang clothes on and lockers that don't lock.
Myself I compensate by changing in my RV only rinsing off and washing my hair in the showeroom, never taking my sandals off.
Hasn't been there in years but I still miss the poolside deli. With wet kids it was great.
We have many fond memories of SolDuc and I will continue to make this work for my wife and I. But as a family function I will have to take our group to a private campground.

Nice quiet site with good water and bathroom location. The hot springs were wonderful and easy to get to. The trail to the falls was easy to find and beautiful. I would go again.

Spaces too close together ,no air TV, no wifi, shower buildings too far from rv park. Not enough light or signage. Also the access to jot springs is too expensive for families or groups

Pros: Hot Springs Resort were a lovely treat after a long day of driving. The Sol Duc area is gorgeous. A hike to the Sol Duc Falls is an absolute must!
Cons: Zero cell coverage, so be prepared. We stayed at the “RV Court” which is really just a gravel parking lot with electric and water hookups and a small picnic area. But campgrounds A and B looked nicer and more private (no hookups though).

Sol Duc campground was awesome! Great views, wildlife, quiet.
The hot springs were a disappointment. Very dirty and uninterested staff. Children left alone to splash and yell - in the high temperature pools!
Not relaxing at all.
