What Guests Are Saying
Fishhook Park is a well-maintained, beautiful location with friendly hosts and clean facilities, making it a great spot for family outings and camping. Visitors appreciate the ample water access, quiet atmosphere, and the convenience of a nearby gas station. Some concerns include limited swimming access due to algae blooms and occasional discomfort from biting flies, but overall, guests express a desire to return.

Was a very beautiful park. Well maintained overall. The day use area and water access was a short walk from even the furthest camp site (the park is smaller in person than the map makes it look). The things I didn't like though is that the men's showers have ZERO privacy from the rest of the bathrooms. Sure they have stalls for the showers, but where the changing area is there is only a doorway and no partition or curtain or anything allowing some privacy from the redt.of the bathroom. You walk in the door and the shower area is to your right and it's very open. Grsnted it's nice that pretty much everyone had rvs they showered in but where my mom and I were there for a few days and didn't have running hot water we resorted to using the showers. Water pressure and everything else about the shower is great. You can adjust the temp to what you want, and the showers are free (not coin operated). And the other thing I didn't like is that they physically lock the gate to the park at 10pm, which makes me nervous about what if you had a medical emergency or had.to leave suddenly in the middle of the night. There's no way around the gate unless you went and woke up the camp host. I wanted to go out a d get some scenic sunset photos from across the river, but with them locking the gates that never happened as I didn't want to have to walk all the way back to my site in the dark.
All in all, I do recommend this park though. It's beautiful! Has good water access from a few sites. Some of the sites further down in the campground look like they're right on the water but that's deceiving as there's a big hill going down and tons of brush between that.
Oh, and I also do like that there's a gas station /convenience store like 2 miles back up the road so if you need any essentials you have that nearby.
